RYA Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore
Advanced training for more experienced skippers - from £315
This course equips you to navigate safely on coastal and offshore passages. It allows time for revision of the basics and then moves on to advanced navigation techniques.
The course will take your theory knowledge to the standard required for Coastal Skipper /Yachtmaster Offshore practical exams, concentrating on advanced navigation and meteorology skills.
A comprehensive course pack is included, as well as two exercise charts, course handbook and exercises, we also provide free of charge a full size plotter, brass dividers and the RYA almanac.
The course is taught over 40 hours with three exam papers. It can be covered as a series of evening classes or as an intensive course over 3 weekends.
‘ONE to ONE’ TUITION is also available, you’ll get tuition tailored to your needs, so your course can either be completed quickly or over a more relaxed period as your schedule allows.

This course will give you the knowledge to navigate around familiar waters by day, we also include a basic knowledge of lights to introduce you to night cruising.
Hands on navigation exercises are integral to this course and this will enable you to understand the theory required to become a Day Skipper and its uses during passages.
